The increasing usage of plastic is on rise in most of the countries on planet earth. India and some of the countries of the world are came up with several programmes to reduce the plastic usage and stop using plastic wherever possible to mitigate the global warming, natural disasters, and to protect the wildlife, Environment and ecology. But, these initiatives seems not being implemented effectively.
The new study report of the World Wildlife Fund(WWF) revealed that the plastic has spread its legs at all the parts of the ocean on this planet. WWF has also appealed for an emergency mitigative measures to create an ‘International Agreement’ to ban the plastic usage for further damage to the ecology.
The WWF report says that, about 88% species found in the ocean are affected by the intense pollution of plastic. It also says that the several Wildlife and animals that even man consumed have consumed the plastic. This report prepared by collecting cumulative research work of 2590 scientists, experts in association with the Alfred Vegener Institute. They have mapped the effect of the plastic and micro plastic contents in the ocean.
In a shock to the people, a devil like floating ‘Plastic islands’ made of the peaces of plastic are found at the Atlantic and Pecific oceans. The ruins of the plastic have spread from the surface to dark depth of the ocean revealed the report.
The research report also says that at least 2144 species are struggling to survive because of the plastic pollution warns WWF.
The plastic pollution has causes 90 % Ocean seagles and 52 % turtles says the report. The plastic production is expected expected double by 2040 which will simultaneously increase the plastic pollution in the ocean for four times predicted the research report.
