Karnataka: Another wild become victim of the human-wildlife conflict in Vijaypura district of Karnataka. Around three years old make leopard died by electrocuting after coming in contact with the electricity at Devanavadagi village of Sindagi taluk.
According to the report of ‘The New Indian Express, the leopard electrocuted after coming in contact with the live wire while passing near the electric transformer at sugar cane fields. however, none of the body parts were missing and forest officials ruled out foul play. The forest department has not registered any case considering it a natural death of a leopard.
It can be recalled that this big cat had created fear among the villagers at the banks of the Bheema river in Sindagi village for the past few months. Shockingly, about 30 cases of attacks on cattle by the wilds have been reported in these months.
The forest personnel also have said that they were trying to catch the leopard for the past six months but were not successful in it. The GPS-enabled trap cameras have captured the movement of the same leopard couple of days ago. The officials have faced difficulties in catching it because of the sugarcane fields in the region.
