The humans get the fruits from one plant or tree only when the flowering happens and then the pollination process is done. The butterflies, bees and other insects play a key role in pollinating the flowers when they travel from one flower to another.
However, in recent findings, the researchers observed that the air pollution is making it tough for these pollinators to stop and smell the flowers. This has created a new worry for mankind.
According to the report published in the ‘Mongabay’, The Researchers have found that common, ground-level air pollutants that include nitrogen oxides which is found in diesel exhaust fumes, and the ozone react with floral scents, leading to reduced pollination, mentions the recent published study paper in the journal ‘Environment Pollution.
Robbie Girling, project leader and associate professor in agro-ecology at University of Reading, United Kingdom(UK) said ‘The previous lab reports proved that the diesel exhaust surely has the negative effect.
