Karnataka (Bengaluru): Cubbon park which situated in the heart of Bengaluru city will soon get ‘Ayurveda park’. This park will have only plants which have medicinal plants. It is planned to develop this park in view of the health of the morning walkers.
This park is surfacing in one-acre land which will turn a big boon for the morning walkers. The land has been identified near Lotus Pond in front of Bal Bhavan. The park is being developed under the Smart city project and Rs 13 lakh funds have been earmarked for this project.
According to the sources, this park will have flower plants, fruit plants, shrubs, aromatic shrubs, creepers that have medicinal values. Ashwagandha, Aloe vera, Kangala, Bhramha Kamala, Pepper, Moringa, Pomegranate, Banan, Casia Jemanica, Champak, Cardia Sebestina and hundreds of varieties are planned to plant and nurture in this unique garden.
This garden is being developed in the second phase of smart city projects. These plants which have medicinal values in treating breathing, heart-related diseases and diabetes-related diseases are being planted here said HT Balakrishna, Deputy director of the horticulture department.
