Tiger hunters arrested red handed at Madikeri of Karnataka

Karnataka: Though, the government has brought strict regulations to prevent poaching of wild animals, the activities of hunting wild animals are reporting often in Karnataka. The forest mobile squad police have arrested four persons who hunted a tiger and tried to sell its skin on Tuesday.

A tiger’s skin, seven nails, two legs have been recovered from the arrested accused Harish, Ramesh, Manu and Rajesh. The police who reached in the costumer’s get up trapped the accused at Diddalla, Tattalla in Ane Choukuru buffer zone in Madikeri district of Karnataka on Tuesday. (February 15). The police have started investigation as more people have involved in this offense.

The increasing number of Tigers in India has brought happiness among the environmentalists and wildlife activists. However, the poaching activities in Karnataka and other reserved forests of the western Ghats is worrying opines the wildlife activists.
